Ty Parc in Tredegar is provided by United Welsh and managed by Pobl. It has 22 self-contained flats for both single people and families facing homelessness.
Each wing of the building has a communal lounge area, dining area, kitchen and utility room and caters to different types of people – the left wing for individuals, and the right wing for families. Both are independently accessed via landscaped gardens to ensure security and privacy for residents.
The building embraces new technologies featuring under floor heating and solar PV panels, and has been designed and built with comfort, efficiency and total security in mind.
It’s one of the first homeless hostels of its kind, and its unique design means that staff can change the size of the rooms to accommodate different sized family groups.
