Tenant news
This is why we are quick to remind tenants when rent is owed and there are consequences to not paying.
What will happen if I fall into arrears?
If you don’t pay your rent, you are at risk of losing your home. We don’t want that and we’re sure that you don’t either.
If you can’t afford to pay the money back straight away we can make an affordable repayment plan with you, but if you don’t contact us or keep to the repayment arrangement, we will issue you a Notice of Seeking Possession, which is the first step in taking legal proceedings against you.
What should I do if I receive a Notice of Seeking Possession?
Contact us straight away and tell us about your situation. Our Money Advisors helped 530 people to improve their financial situation last year, which in turn helped many to reduce their arrears and sustain their tenancies. We could help you too.
Even though we have started the process to gain possession of your home, it is not too late to come to an agreement about paying the money you owe and preventing further legal action.
