We have allocated a fund to support projects aimed at benefiting our residents and communities. Community groups are encouraged to apply for funding from this pool, and we want to recruit a panel of up to 12 resident volunteers to oversee and evaluate the incoming applications.
A panel member will undergo training to develop the confidence and expertise necessary for evaluating applications and deciding whether their bids are approved or denied. The panel also reserves the right to request additional information from applicants to properly assess their applications before making a final decision.
From projects to improve neighbourhoods, to running activities that support vulnerable people, and organising events that bring people together, groups that apply to the fund will need to explain how their project will benefit the community.
This is an exciting opportunity to ensure that funding is used in the best way to benefit as many communities as possible.
