A reminder to people receiving Universal Credit

If you pay your rent with Universal Credit, you need to update your online journal with your new rent figure from 1st April, or you could risk losing money.

You have recently been sent a letter about changes to your rent, with your new rent figure. From Tuesday 1st April, you will need to log into your UC Online Journal and update your new rent figure on your account.

Follow the instructions in your to-do list to update your housing costs and change it to your new rent figure.

If you manage your Universal Credit over the phone, you’ll need to call the DWP on 0800 328 5644.
