Celtic Horizons, Partnership news
Following community concerns of repeated fly-tipping and misuse of the bin storage area, our organisations came together to provide a lasting solution and improve the space for residents.
Celtic Horizons, United Welsh’s asset management service, installed doors and combination locks with resident-only access to the bin store to prevent the general public from using it. New CCTV signage has also been installed to deter fly-tipping further.
A community clean-up day was held on 12th April to remove leftover rubbish, providing skips for residents to dispose of large items easily.
United Welsh will continue to work with Newport City Council’s Waste Education and Enforcement team to keep the area well-maintained, cleaner, and safer for the community.
