Dementia Cafe Assistant

We’re looking for someone to help at our Dementia Café, supporting with planning events and activities, attending the café and making refreshments.

Our Dementia Cafe is a space for residents, community members, families and carers to come together to enjoy music and games, meet new people and share stories.

Assisting with events and activities
Meeting and greeting residents, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere
Engaging with residents and encouraging people to get involved
Serving refreshments
Counting, updating and ordering stock for the café

Time commitment

Thursdays, 10:30am – 11:30am

Training

All our volunteers receive our volunteer induction and welcome training, and you will also get role-specific training.

Support

Volunteers will receive ongoing support with the Volunteer Coordinator, with regular one-to-one meetings arranged. The frequency of these will be determined by the time commitment of the volunteer and their individual needs.
